The idea here will be to do one double elimination tourney or cup every weekend. I've made the system as simple as possible & the setup is as follows...
Wocen Cups Page: Select Cups link in main nav menu. This will take you to a listing of current cups. Select the cup of your choice. Each cup page is broken into a few a different tabs (brackets, rules etc,) Each is pretty self explanatory.
Signing up is very simple...
Team Captains:In your In your user profile you will notice some new areas called "My Team" & "Team Roster". Fill these in along with a complete roster ( minimum players cup requires with guids) Once you have done this simply PM zOMBie & let him know your information is complete & you wish to join (cup name). Once you have done this & all your information is complete & correct, you will be added to the cup. Cups will be on a 1st come 1st serve basis.
I'm not getting overly serious about this because quite frankly I don't have time to babysit. The most important things A ) Rosters being complete B ) Playing on PB enabled servers & C ) Following rules pertaining to cheaters. I don't care about ringers so please don't bombard me with IM's about it. Only time that will be an issue is if say Team A is out of the cup & a player from that team rings for another team in a later round or if they're a banned player or player that is ineligible because of a history of cheating.
I realize PB doesn't do much these days but technically we don't use it to detect cheats. It's used mainly for player tracking & really is the only method we have to keep the idiots with 50 bans out.
Every Monday I will post the coming weekends cup. Information will be posted in the NEWS section. Not the forums. I hate the forums being over run with items that should be posted as news. Matches need to take place over the weekend & as quickly as possible. Purposely delaying the process will result in team being banned from future cups.
As always I am open to to suggestions & or criticism however negativity will be ignored. Help me help you & we can improve on things. Over the next week or so I'm gonna be hashing out some ideas for things that can be purchased with your wocen dollars. Things like user class or ability to ban a member for a day, week etc. At some point when we move into a game people actually care about there's the possibility of having actual items or services that can be obtained with your wocen dollars. Currently the only thing wocen dollars offer is bragging rights. Once that's in place we will setup rewards in the form of wocen dollars to the participating teams. I also hope to implement some forum trophy's & other status items. Hopefully if the system is successful we can host some bigger more important cups but again time will tell.

edit: i still love you, but honestly, there are MAYBE 4 "teams" left, and they aren't "teams". just groups that play games together. you would immediately have 5-10 teams if you opened a HoN tourney tomorrow...... dont fucking do that, but i'm using it as a sad example

nobody sees who's signed up and that discourages other from signing up. it's just easier to do it in forums (for the players, not for the admins), whenever me or tranix made cups int eh past it worked fine (but that was when there were actual 'teams')

No the problem is they're all lazy & want the shit spoon fed to em with pretty wonderful pictures drawn out in jumbo crayon. The profile process is about as painless as it gets & thats still too difficult? Gimmie a fucking break. ET players wanna be coddled & I refuse to it sorry.
